Clearaudio Profiler 9” Tonearm – Silver Aluminium
The new Profiler tonearm represents the perfect symbiosis of the Satisfy Kardan and Tracer tonearm.
Gaining clear improvement by combining the best elements of both tonearms as well as the standardization of components. Contributing to this optimization are the double bearing in the vertical bearing and the resonance protection dome. Therefore the Profiler tonearm represents the ideal link between the well-established Satisfy Kardan series and the new Tracer generation. This outstanding piece of precision engineering is available in black and silver. The tonearm tube is made of lightweight high-quality aluminum alloy and is equipped with special damping points. The Profiler tonearm is the perfect companion for the Performance series and meets the highest demands.Clearaudio Satisfy Kardan Tonearm – Silver Aluminium
Clearaudio TT5 Tangential Tonearm – Black
With the TT5, Clearaudio offers vinyl fans a more affordable entry point into tangential tonearm technology.
WHY GO TANGENTIAL?
In a conventional pivoted tonearm, the arm is ‘dragged’ across the record’s surface by the stylus following the record groove. A similar motion occurs in Clearaudio’s tangential tonearms, but the arm moves tangentially, with the stylus propelling the tonearm along a linear bearing which comprises a carriage running on precision rollers along a meticulously polished glass rail. The cartridge therefore remains parrallel to the record groove, following the same path as the cutting head did when making the record, thus eliminating any lateral tracking error. And since the record groove, stylus, cantilever and tonearm are perfectly aligned, no side forces are generated and so anti-skating compensation is no longer required. Tracking force and azimuth are easily and finely adjustable so that the cartridge and stylus are always in the perfect position to read the musical information in the record groove.Glanz B Series Tonearm
An old Japanese name but newly returned to the UK – This is the entry level ‘affordable’ Glanz B Series tonearm, available in 9″ and 10″ versions.
Like all Glanz tonearms, constructed mainly from stainless steel parts with astonishing build quality, and high effective mass (in the order of 30g, but Glanz do not quote a figure) to suit low compliance cartridges. Shipped with a quality tonearm cable.
Headshell is not included – any design with a ‘standard’ SME bayonet fitting is suitable.
Glanz S Series Tonearms
Glanz is an old Japanese name warmly welcomed back to the UK – this is the newly refreshed Glanz S Series tonearm, available in 9″, 10″ and 12″ versions.
Like all Glanz tonearms, constructed mainly from stainless steel parts with obsessive attention to resonance control, and now with an improved counterweight design.
This is, without exception, the finest tonearm that we have ever heard, and the physical quality is simply astonishing.
Effective mass is in the order of 30g, but Glanz do not quote a figure, so only suitable for genuinely low compliance cartridges (please call to discuss if you are unsure). Shipped with a Glanz MH-4S headshell and a tonearm cable..
Sorane SA-1.2 tonearm
All Sorane tonearms come with high quality cable, 5 pin (SME type) to RCA.
The detachable headshells are black.
Unique design, unique sound, unique value for money high quality tonearm.
The sound of the Sorane SA-1.2 tonearm is quite unique, due to its ridged design and construction, the main arm component is engineered from one billet of aluminum and assembled with great precision and care. There is virtually none of the resonance associated with S-shaped arms and far more strength plus lower 'critical' resonances than virtually all straight arms. Download Brochure.Sorane TA-1L tonearm
12" long gimbal-type bearing design tonearm for excellent bass, dynamics and imaging
A successful tonearm must have the sensitivity and stability to retrieve low-level signals and the quality of the bearings (such as used in the TA tonearms) is paramount.
Whilst tonearm mass and cartridge compliance set the low frequency resonance point, high quality bearings must be used that allow the arm to follow the advance of the groove, to navigate the vinyl groove without grabbing/resistance/noise generation.
