Loudspeakers come in all shapes and sizes, they are considered the hardest part of a hifi system to get right. Speakers are a very personal item in the hifi chain but once you have picked the right one’s they tend to stay for life. Domestic acceptance is also a consideration. Step forward the MCRU. No.127 loudspeakers.

The MCRU No.127 loudspeaker is our answer to the age old question, which loudspeaker will suit my system the best. If you have a small or large listening room we now have a speaker to suit. Our range includes the No.101, No.127, No.165 and the electricbeach frugel 3 horn speakers and finally the Alexander Acoustics concrete loudspeakers.

The MCRU No.127 is available in a variety of wood veneer finishes to suit most decors, swatches are available on request, the speakers are designed and built in the UK to order, we have them on demo in our Huddersfield showroom and can ship them out to you for a home demonstration if you cannot make it to our premises. They sound exceptional with solid state or valve amplification.

Short bass – midrange array with four low distortion 5 inch drivers with injection-moulded metal basket with large gaps to optimise air-flow. Classical paper cone with extended response and high mechanical excursion. High frequency planar-magnetic tweeter with die-cast horn. Heavily braced vented enclosure using solid wood veneers (sourced from sustainable sources) with natural oil / wax finish, with chamfered driver cut-outs and rounded internal bracing. Internal cabling silver-plated copper by Black Rhodium. Over-sized vent to minimise air-velocity / noise. High quality low-mass gold plated binding posts & physically separated HF / LF crossover legs to allow easy bi-amping / bi-wiring.  40Hz – 20KHz, 5.6ohm minimum impedance, 92dB 1m/w
