Tellurium Q “listen” Headphone Amplifier

If you want to hear the full detail of what is on any CD or record then a headphone set up is essential, and even more is a good headphone amplifier. Launching at this years NAS, Whittlebury Hall is the new Tellurium Q Iridium Listen Headphone Amplifier.  Innovative design together with stunning sound quality as you would expect from TQ’s chief designer Colin Wonfor who designed the Inca Tech Claymore Amplifier.

The amplifer has 2 headphone jacks so is capable of driving 2 pairs of headphones at the same time. It also has a built in pre-amp thus enabling direct connection to a power amplifier, a matching TQ power amp will be available soon. The amplifier is a class A design, full specifications can be viewed on the MCRU website.

We have listened to the amp using a Canor Valve CD Player though HifiMan’s top of the range HE6 headphones which are notoriously difficult to drive, the Iridium HE version coped with ease.

The amplifier also sports an MP3 input using a mini jack connection and has 3 sets of analogue inputs. It will be supplied with a MCRU No. 27 mains power cable worth £95 included in the price.
