By 1963, Dexter Gordon and Donald Byrd had become two of the leading lights of the Blue Note label, a gleaming showcase and an experimental laboratory for the evolutions and revolutions taking place in the small world of Afro-American jazz stemming from hard bop. Diana Krall – All For You – Acoustic Sounds Series 180g 2LP Gatefold Sleeve
The two-time 1996 Grammy-winning album All For You is a tribute to the Nat King Cole Trio by a woman who is better equipped than any other jazz musician of her generation to evoke the spirit of Nat Cole.
Diana Krall, who listened eagerly to Cole’s records as a child, grew up to be that rarest of birds: a singer-pianist as comfortable and distinctive in one role as the other.

Diana Krall – When I Look Into Your Eyes (Acoustic Sounds) 180g 2LP Gatefold Sleeve
Krall’s fifth studio album made a mark as the first jazz album in 25 years to garner a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
Tommy LiPuma elevates Krall’s sound along the lines of Nat King Cole with an orchestral stamp on eight out of 12 tracks.
It doesn’t take strings, though, to showcase Diana Krall as a hopeless romantic. She does that well enough on her own.
Verve’s Acoustic Sounds Series features transfers from analog tapes and remastered 180-gram vinyl in deluxe gatefold packaging.
