Tonar StylusTimer

£22.50
A turntable without a StylusTimer is like a car without a Speedo!
Turntable phono cartridges have a stylus that should be replaced after every 1000 hours of use, sometimes even sooner, depending on the cartridge. A worn stylus degrades sound quality and can damage your valuable record collection. Unfortunately, most turntable owners have no idea how much time is actually on their stylus, especially as the months and years go by. Now you can track stylus usage easily and precisely with StylusTimer, a unique chronograph designed for use with turntables.

MCRU No.30 DIY Mains Power Lead Set

£40.00£58.00
With the vast amount of wireless products being used in our homes (wireless internet uses radio waves for the signal) its more important than ever to prevent RFI (radio frequency interference) from harming the sound quality of your hifi system. Radio waves travel down the wires if they are un-shielded and inject interference into the electronics, easily preventable by using well shielded and screened cables. Particularly mains cables, so help is at hand from MCRU. We introduce the No. 30 mains lead set (DIY) which uses shielded and screened cable using a separate drain wire and foil shielding, proven to combat the effects of RFI and make your system sound better. The set has 1.5 metres of cable and our reference silver plated UK mains plug and IEC connector. Silver is the best conductor of electrons known to man, silver plating improves conductivity. There is nothing more satisfying for audiophiles than to construct your own cable and listen to the improvements by using it. The No.30 DIY set is available with USA/AUS/EU mains plugs on request and longer cable lengths can be supplied if required.

MCRU introduce "The First" mains power lead.
HiFi Pig review.
HiFi + review
The First is thus named because it should be the 1st cable in your hifi system and start at the beginning of the powering of it. The most important cable in any hifi system is the one powering your mains conditioner / regenerator/extension block (if it has a dedicated iec inlet) from the mains wall socket. In order to get the best possible sound quality from any hifi system The First mains power cable should be used as it will provide the best possible mains feed to your chosen conditioner/extension block. The First is available with various terminations to suit your chosen budget, the cable and shielding/screening is the same throughout the range.
