The original Excelsior DC blocker is still available here. Sophisticated technology has been used to produce a mains power lead like no other, manufactured to our own specification, the power lead blocks the DC that occurs in the mains supply, to hear it is to want it. Please note the MKII version uses UP-OCC cabling with acoustic braiding. UP-OCC is the very best copper available and perfect for mains power leads.

Manufactured using the best available materials our Excelsior Mains Lead utilises substantial OFC mains cable with 4mm sq individual conductors which are terminated with a gold plated audiophile mains plug and gold plated IEC connector either the standard C15 IEC or C19 high current, used solely on their own this would be a formidable mains power lead.

We have taken the design further and housed a powerful mains filter in the centre of the cable, the aluminium enclosure houses a specially designed DC blocker, DC (direct current) occurs in the mains supply from house-hold appliances and has been present in the supply but not correctly addressed or acknowledged until recently.

Transformer hum is as a result of dc in the mains, our power cord will remove it and also improve the overall sound quality from your system as a result, the Excelsior needs to be heard to be believed.

The power lead has been tested to prove it’s effectiveness on a live mains supply and also in a computer simulation programme specifically for this task.

Standard length is 2 metres overall, longer lengths can be made to order.

Full test report available on request.

Please read the technical white paper on this.

After years of intermittent buzzing from my amplifier, sometimes quite loud, I decided to try this. I connected it to the power extension so the whole system benefits and RESULT!
All I hear now is the music, the system is silent at any time of the day and the overall sound quality is improved and consistent.
