Everything about its design has been considered and adapted to give the listener the total HIFI experience from a small speaker located less that ideal position. By working with the bookshelf/sideboard the Booki will give a big soundstage, excellent imaging, fast tight bass, extended bass due to the rear passive radiator. The sweet treble is due to the 28mm soft dome tweeter crossed over at just the right point to make the magic happen, all this in a audiophile loudspeaker just 9 inches tall.
The heart of the speaker is the specially designed crossover which uses quality hand wound air core inductors, MKP capacitors and high quality wire wound resistors, all matched to within 3% tolerance to give you rock steady imaging and layered depth to the music.
The cabinet is hand built to exacting tolerances and veneered with real wood veneer, internally the panels are braced and damped using DODO mat to kill internal resonance and let the drivers get on with the job.
The Bookie drivers are carefully selected and the main 100mm driver is a lightweight aluminium cone with a long throw rubber surround, around the back of the speaker is another aluminium cone 100mm driver but this time it is a passive unit which is tuned to help the main front mounted driver deliver deep bass when needed, the high frequencies are looked after by a special silver wired 28mm tweeter. The Booki is the perfect audiophile speaker for the serious listener that just wants something that works in close proximity to the front wall (30cm or less). The design ensures that they sounds right for you to enjoy listening without frustration.
